In the world’s first national park, Yellowstone, it’s rare to get the opportunity to do something for the first time. Luckily enough I was able to be involved in one such first: the First Annual Yellowstone Plein Air Invitational. These illustrations were a part of a broader messaging initiative to create awareness of the event among artists and visitors alike. It was an incredible opportunity and I look forward to many more years of this event.

The photographs above are of a trifold brochure that contained a map and event schedule. We printed several thousand of these and it was lovely seeing people show up to events with the maps in hand!
Illustrations below: Black Bear, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Bull Elk, Mammoth Hot Springs, Old Faithful, Osprey, Paint Tubes, Tower Fall, and the Roosevelt Arch.
The illustration above actually didn’t make it into any of our materials, but I love it!
