The idea for this card was to make something fun that you can put on your tree, menorah, jewelry rack, wherever! So with that in mind I set about creating these little paper toys that have a simple enough concept: one image on each side that create a combined image when flipped back and forth. Here's a video from the decidedly un-holiday themed Sleep Hollow, which helped me learn that these things are called thaumatropes - "wonder turner" from ancient greek. There's a vast history of these things and how they became popular in the 19th century that's pretty fascinating. Anyway! Holiday time.
The feedback I got from these was great! Next time though I'd recommend just printing them business-card size (Moo has gold foil now!) instead of the cut-out, glitter, frame mess. But It's a Wonderful Life after all, and I hope these were wonderful holiday cards :)
