Trip to Peru

To celebrate a variety of exciting life events in my family we decided to go on a 10 day trip to Peru!

It was awesome.

Travel gear - backpack, sketchbook , pens, camera , malaria pills (unnecessary), currency, and - of course - sunglasses!

Llamas. Llamas everywhere. That was my first impression of Lima, and it was always a delight to see them! We actually had not planned to see Lima at all besides the airport, but due to some complications we spent a rather enjoyable day there. We were supposed to take a flight to Cusco but the plane couldn't land due to fog issues. But we got meal vouchers, a free night in Lima, and some extra sight-seeing so it wasn't too bad.

Machu Picchu! Also simply getting there from here - two flights, a train, a bus, and a hike - just made you realize even more how remote and awesome it is.
