Byrdhouse

The women at Byrdhouse were looking for a refreshed brand that was clean with a touch of delicate detail. We developed a logotype out of an adapted version of Alverata by Gerard Unger. I thinned out the lightest weight to capture the elegance Byrdhouse was looking for, along with some crafted flourishes. We then paired the mark with a rich color palette and icons that represented a few of the common industries they work with. While I contributed to the UI design, Kyle from Outline really took the lead and I love what he did with our assets; as well as Outline’s overall art direction and guidance. Also, I actually met Gerard Unger during my summer at The Cooper Union . It was amazing, I will always be grateful for that moment and the legacy he left in type design.
